Manifesto is Green-Lit!
Great news, manifestites. MANIFESTO! rolls again.
We’ve gotten the green light to shoot a series of several episodes of the show.
That’s where you come in. We need your stories for our show!
That’s right. Uncle Scott needs you. Your country needs you. Manifesto needs YOU.
Declare Your Manifesto to the World. Who we’re looking for:
- Passionate people with a concrete goal to change something, a ‘Manifesto’
- Personal stories and ‘Big Picture’ stories are equally good
- There are no limits on the “type” of subject or story (Those involved with a very current issue are a plus but not necessary).
See some examples of our past subjects here. Learn more about the show in our network promo video.
We are mainly looking for people from Southern California, but are open to submissions from major cities where we can send out a field crew to shoot your story.
HOW TO SUBMIT
1. Email your story to:
submissions (at) manifestotv.com
2. Signup for the Email Newsletter.
Fill in the form on this page (on the right) to stay updated on the show.
3. We will email you a followup questionnaire to fill out.
Fill it out and email back to us.
That’s it. We’ll be contacting those selected for interviews by February 14th!

Manifesto Show Hosts
Good news… A friend of ours with a film production company has agreed to help us bring a celebrity host onto the show.
Someone with integrity and the Manifesto spirit.
So we put together a list and we’re going out to them in the next few weeks. We’ll let you know when someone is confirmed!
It’s funny that we’re back to people making this suggestion as the show has always meant to reveal the actions of the disenfranchised and the unheard. A voice for everyday people. But the way television is right now, a star will only help us tell those stories.
And of course, Scott and Amber will still be involved and make regular appearances on the show!!
No commentsNet Neutrality Petition - Please Sign
As you probably have noticed by now, we tend to stay away from things considered “political issues” on the blog, mainly because Scott makes his voice heard on several issues on a daily basis.
Also because we think that the subjects we pick on the show say a lot about what we believe and don’t believe in, with the disclaimer that there is room for EVERYONE on our show. That’s right. It’s how we designed it and we remain true to our standard.
But there’s a discussion we’ve been involved with for some time which has plagued to threaten free speech for the past couple of years - the potential loss of net neutrality at the hands of megacorporations like AT&T and Comcast among others.
Well, a week ago, Obama made a commitment to enforce net neutrality. And a new bill called ‘The Internet Freedom Preservation Act’ was introduced in congress. This is very good news.
Please weigh in on the discussion here: http://www.savetheinternet.com/ website and sign the petition letting your representatives know how you feel about net neutrality.
Show news and an announcement about our next party coming shortly!

Holidaze. Parties. This year we are having a Manifesto party in early December.
It’s a long time coming. We’re inviting supporters of the manifesto project, crew from the show, crew from the doc, netizens, and luminaries from a variety of movements.
Stay tuned for an official invite to be released in the next week!

No commentsSuper Screwsday
Happy Super Screwsday –err– super tuesday!?
We sound jaded. Maybe we are.
Although we think progressives will win the presidency, we are worried that the system is way too broken to fix by -any- one president. Male, female, black, white, doesn’t matter.
But, we do believe people can fix the system.
It won’t be easy, but one of the people who is going to appear on the show has a pretty damn good idea of how to make it happen.
Stay tuned for a pretty major announcement regarding the show!!

No commentsI Drink Your Milkshake Manifesto

It’s true. I drink your milkshake and total drainage ensues!
Your digital milkshake that is.
‘Manifesto’ has some fairly major announcements to make on the web end of things.
Stay tuned for the drilling!
Disclaimer: We don’t think oil drilling is funny. Actually we feel quite the opposite. But equating milkshake drinking and oil drilling is genius. Now if ridding the world of milkshakes would rid the world of oil drilling… I guess no one’s ready to give up their milkshakes huh?! Are You?

No commentsI Me My Your Manifesto
My Manifesto. Your Manifesto. A Manifesto.
A whole new breed of marketing is creeping into online consciousness. The ‘My’ ‘I’ ‘Your’ business. This is no doubt the result of social marketing experiments. Everyone is a unique snowflake.
But don’t let the marketing fool you. You’re not a product. You’re a person.
People are important. Products are not.
Marketers would like us to forget the difference.
We all have individual Manifestoes and we have collective Manifestoes. We are individuals with unique and similar goals. Our identities and dreams cannot be sold.
